What else you should know...
Broadband is not available in all areas.
All our plans are optimised for ADSL2+ but actual speeds will vary. Find out more about broadband speeds.
To have Telecom Broadband you also need to have a Telecom landline and monthly charges apply. See here for landline plan options. If you do not have your direct dial calling (tolls) with us, add $10 to the monthly cost of the Pro, Adventure, Explorer and Go plans.
Choose a contract
Once you've chosen a package or plan, you'll need to select the type of contract you'd like. There are two options:
1) No Term Contract - With this option, there's no minimum term or early disconnection charges, but a one-off connection fee of $99 applies (a wiring fee may also apply). You'll also need to provide your own modem or purchase one from us.
2) 12 Month term contract - Sign up for a minimum of 12 months and you'll get a free standard broadband connection and a free wireless modem worth $99.95 (wiring fee not included). Free wireless modem offer is only available on a Total Home Package (excluding Total Home Starter). If you choose the Total Home Mobile package on a 12 month minimum term you can get a $50 credit towards your mobile phone instead.
Setup costs
If you don't currently have your landline connected with Telecom you will need to pay a broadband connection charge of. See our Special Offers to find out more about getting a free broadband connection.
You may need to pay a broadband wiring fee ($199) if you have an alarm capable of being monitored (or medical alarm system) or if you have five or more jack points in use. Learn more about connection and wiring options.
Additional Data
For flexibility, we offer additional data on selected plans. If you exceed your data allowance you will be able to continue to use the internet at your usual speed and you won't be slowed down. Additional data costs $2 per GB (charged per MB so you are only pay for what you use).
If you want price certainty and exceed your data allowance, we also offer a speed reduction on most plans.
