Caller Display Agreement for business customers
Welcome to Telecom Caller Display - the service which lets you see the telephone number of the incoming call.
Telecom New Zealand Ltd ("we") agrees to provide Telecom Caller Display to the customer named below ("you") under the terms of the Caller Display Agreement. By signing below, you agree to take our service on those terms.
Please contact us if you have any questions about Telecom Caller Display.
These special terms form part of the Caller Display Agreement for business customers. In these terms we have used "we" for Telecom New Zealand Ltd, "you" for the customer and "Telecom Caller Display" for the service we agree to provide under the agreement.
We assume you are acquiring Telecom Caller Display for the purposes of a business as defined in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If you think that you are not acquiring Telecom Caller Display for these purposes, then please tell us (and do not sign this agreement). If we agree that you are not acquiring Telecom Caller Display for the purposes of a business and we agree to provide the service for you, different terms apply. We will send them to you.

We will provide Telecom Caller Display on the telephone line or lines you specify. You have to be the customer who rents the line or lines from us. If you have
- A suitable wall jack; and
- The special type of display telephone or display unit
Required for using Telecom Caller Display, the service enables you to see the number of the telephone from which a call is made to you. This number will be the one allocated by us to the line a caller is using to make the call to you and will appear on the display screen. Sometimes the call is made through the caller's own system such as a PABX, and in this case, the number presented may be any one of the numbers allocated to the lines used.
Receiving Telecom Caller Display does not mean that:
- You will receive the number from which every call is made to you; for example, the caller may be calling from a payphone, cellphone or from an older exchange or some non-Telecom networks or may have withheld the number.
- The number displayed is the number of the individual telephone from which a call is made; for example, the call may be made from an extension or direct-dial number connected to the main number.
- The number displayed is the number you normally associate with the person calling you; for example, the caller may be using someone else's telephone.
- The number displayed identifies the person calling you; for example , many people may be able to use the telephone from which the call is made.
