What is it?
A Permanent toll bar prevents all chargeable calls from being made from your home phone (including charge calls from alternative providers).
How much does it cost?
Permanent Toll Bar will incur an installation fee of $50 (including GST), but there are no on-going charges associated with having a Permanent Toll Bar.
How does it work?
- With a Permanent Toll Bar, you can be sure of having complete control over toll calls made from your home phone
- Permanent Toll Bars are set up in the exchange, which means that you must request us to both put the bar on and remove it
Things you should know
- Permanent Toll Bar does not stop collect or transfer charge calls, and you cannot have Permanent Toll Bar and Call Restriction on the same line
- In addition, if you are making a 3 Way Call, the outgoing calls cannot be toll calls, and when using Call Diversion, the number to which you divert a call cannot be a toll call
- Customers can have only one type of toll bar and/or Call Restriction
- Telecom requires 30 days notice of cancellation of this Smartphone service
- Please note that in some cases this service may not be available or is limited due to network constraints and incompatibility with other products and services
