Global Private Line
Through the use of our own infrastructure and those of our international Network Partners, Global Private Line Service provides point-to-point digital data transmission connectivity between a number of countries throughout the world.
Each circuit is dedicated to the exclusive use of a customer and is known as a Private Line. These lines carry data, private telephone traffic, text, graphics and video.
It is designed to satisfy the point-to-point data or voice requirements of both large and small organisations requiring secure and permanent 'Private Line' connections.
It offers the ability to move vital information across the globe at high speed with superior accuracy, throughput, security and reliability. It is ideal for operations such as international computer communications, videoconferencing, currency trading, reservation and booking systems.
Features of the Global Private Line service are:
- Flexible usage - suitable for a wide range of applications
- High availability and performance targets
- Unless otherwise indicated, the international segment of the service employs fibre-optic cable capacity, which in the event of failure, is automatically restored by alternative fibre capacity.
- Bandwidth may be channelled to provide individual n X 64 kbit/s traffic streams to different national or international destinations at the distant ends.
- The service is structured as an end-to-end solution where the service is delivered, managed and maintained into the end-users' premises.
- It complies with ITU standards.
