International ISDN
International ISDN is an end-to-end digital data network. Our International ISDN service allows bandwidth-on-demand through dial-up 64 kbps links to destinations around the world.
Current cost-saving solutions using Telecom International ISDN include:
- bulk or large file transfer for companies who exchange information for up to five hours per day;
- the overflow and back-up of critical digital circuits;
- the bringing together of geographically dispersed teams for interactive real-time document manipulation;
- distance education using ISDN for videoconferencing and file transfer; and
- high quality digital audio transmission for off-shore CD encoding.

VPN (Virtual Private Network)
Your international sites can then be easily contacted using your abbreviated dialling plan. Telecom's VPN offers a highly cost-effective means of integrating your offices in New Zealand and throughout the world onto one single network.
Our Intelligent Network is what makes Telecom VPN possible. All call handling instructions and service features are defined within the Intelligent Network and operate according to your customised configuration. In addition, because it is based on Telecom's public telephone network, Telecom VPN is extremely flexible. We are also currently introducing capability that will soon allow users to include overseas sites in their own Company dialling plan.
