ISDN CALL CHARGES (excl GST)

Point to Point National and International

For calls to the bridge or for direct point to point national and international ISDN video conference calls, individual customer ISDN rates apply. Likewise, between two bureaus, charges are generally slightly more than twice the cost of a national call for 128kbps (determined by the bureau).

Standard national/international call charge between the two sites can be calculated as follows:

  • for a conference call at 128kbps = ISDN data rate x 2 (channels)
  • for a conference call at 256kbps = ISDN data rate x 4 (channels)
  • for a conference call at 384kbps = ISDN data rate x 6 (channels)

each channel represents a per minute ISDN data calling charge

Testing

Where you have booked a conference through the video conference booking centre, Telecom requires the testing and registration of ALL private sites prior to a video conference.

If the private facility is unable to make themselves available for testing or does not carry out test calls as instructed, Telecom will accept no responsibility should a fault occur and all charges will be passed on to the requestor in full. Further, if Telecom discovers any connectivity issues during such testing the requestor will be advised. If the requestor decides to proceed with the video conference, Telecom accepts no responsibility should a fault occur and all charges will be passed on to the requestor in full.
