Service Levels
These targets will not provide a basis for compensation, rebates, damages, etc. Telecom's service performance target is to have Core Network Availability for 99.97% of the time (excluding planned outages, force majeure events and circumstances beyond Telecom's control). "Core Network Availability" means that the Core Network:
- Can carry all traffic provided through the Dedicated Links.
- Has traffic traversing from one side of the Core Network to another in less than 30ms (i.e. Core Network latency is less than 30ms).
- Has traffic traversing the Trans-Tasman element of the Core Network, from New Zealand to Australia in less than 50ms
- Has packet loss of less than 3%
This assumes that all traffic from the Dedicated Links to the Core Network is at Design speed or less. Telecom will monitor and manage the Core Network continually.
Telecom is responsible for fixing faults in the Core Network and Telecom owned devices at no additional cost to the Customer.
Telecom's responsibility stops at the relevant Service Delivery Point (SDP). The SDP for Private Office Networking is the Ethernet input interface of the Telecom Network Device/Customer Edge (CE) Router at the Customer's premises.
CPE Service Levels
The customer will receive a 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, next business day response for all problems relating to the CPE. The customer can request other service level options at an additional cost. These include 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, 4 hour response and 24 hours by 7 days, 4 hour response.
