Joining Telecom for the first time is easy. You can join online.

How to join

If there has previously been a phone connected in your home, setting up your phone connection is straightforward:

• You must be 18 years of age to hold an account with us
• We may need some form of personal identification faxed to us
• Give us at least 3 working days notice
• Tell us what services you would like
• To speed up the process, you should have your accurate street address

You can either join online or call us on 123. If you are joining by phone rather than online, please allow 20-30 minutes to work through the process.

Moving to a new house?

If you are moving to a house that has not had phone services connected in the past, call our dedicated home move team on 123. Call well in advance of your move, so we can check if service is currently available and arrange for any additional work that may be required to connect your home phone.

Please note: You may encounter long wait times as our contact centres are currently experiencing high call volumes due to the Christchurch earthquake. However we do encourage you to call us if your matter is urgent.
