How much?

The core service fee has two components: an initial one-off set-up fee to install the service and an ongoing monthly fee. The ongoing monthly fees for the core service are based on the roll size of your school - usage guidelines and expectations apply. This table illustrates pricing based on different roll counts.

State and State Integrated pricing

(Includes Ministry of Education Managed Internet Services Subsidy And the Telecom Education Discount)

The quoted speed is dedicated data bandwidth to the shared SchoolZone Internet connection. Internet speeds can vary depending on:

• The number of other schools concurrently browsing on the internet
• How fast the website you're visiting can provide data
• The internal wiring within the school
• How your software operates

*Prices exclude GST.

The Ministry of Education and Telecom have a special 'Managed Internet Services (MIS)' arrangement that provides subsidised SchoolZone pricing to State and State Integrated schools. This pricing is valid until 31 December 2009.

Standard pricing (independent schools)

The quoted speed is dedicated data bandwidth to the shared SchoolZone Internet connection. Internet speeds can vary depending on:

• The number of other schools concurrently browsing on the internet
• How fast the website you're visiting can provide data
• The internal wiring within the school
• How your software operates

*Prices exclude GST.

SchoolZone Protect

SchoolZone Protect provides a FREE Internet safety and security service for State and State Integrated schools. Simply purchase the appropriate Telecom Broadband plan that meets your speed and usage requirements*. SchoolZone Protect Installation fee and all associated Telecom Broadband installation and monthly fees apply.

The SchoolZone Protect service is not available with Telecom Wireless. The Ministry of Education and Telecom have a special 'Managed Internet Services (MIS)' arrangement that provides subsidised SchoolZone pricing to State and State Integrated schools. This pricing is valid until 31 December 2009.

* A Static IP address is required with the Telecom Broadband Plan. Telecom Business Broadband plans are recommended.
