How the selection process works

When choosing people for the Graduate Leadership Development Programme we use a mix of CV and application review, ability and personality testing, some phone and face-to-face interviews, and a handful of tasks and discussions on assessment days. It's a robust process that allows us to look at people in many different circumstances.

Leadership Recruitment for 2012 on hold

Thanks for your interest in our Graduate Leadership Development Programme.

We've decided to put our Graduate Leadership Development Programme on hold. This means we'll no longer recruit a 2012 intake for this Programme (however you're very welcome to apply for our Accounting and Engineering Programmes).

This is not a decision we've taken lightly, however our business model is undergoing significant changes in response to the Government's ultra-fast broadband initiative. Given that the shape of our company will change over the next 12 months, we don't feel it would be fair to offer roles to any new graduates for this programme until we can be sure that we're able to offer the diverse range of roles and corporate experience that our programme aims to deliver.

In the current environment we believe we should focus our graduate recruitment on addressing specific technical capability gaps, and this means we'll continue to recruit for our Engineering and Accounting programmes - we'd welcome your application for these programmes!

We do apologise if we've disappointed you with this news, and we'd love for you to re-visit this site near the end of 2011 for an update on future intakes for our Graduate Leadership Development Programme. (Remember you can still apply for our future Leadership programmes if you've been working or travelling for the year after your graduation, too.)

Best,
Telecom Graduate Recruitment team
