We'll pay your provisional and full NZICA membership fees and course fees for your Foundation and PAS/PCE2 exams. You'll be entitled to paid study on your road to your CA qualification to attend PAS workshops and Foundation and PCE2 exams. And you'll be entitled to two days paid study leave prior to your Foundation exams and nine days paid study leave prior to PCE2.

Endorsed by the NZICA

"With 40% of our members employed in the corporate sector, our members are not always what you'd expect. Telecom is one of our largest corporate Approved Training Organisations (ATO) employing more than 100 of NZICA's members. So, if you do choose to join Telecom as a University graduate, you'll be in good company!

"As an ATO, Telecom has been approved by NZICA as capable of offering the type of work experience that fulfils the practical experience requirements for admission to the College of Chartered Accountants or College of Associate Chartered Accountants.

"The ATO system ensures that practical experience is planned, supervised, relevant and gained in a quality environment with high ethical and professional standards. The ATO's function is to provide an environment in which a trainee can develop the necessary skills and attributes to become a competent Chartered Accountant or Associate Chartered Accountant - and Telecom has proved their ability to do this."

- Richard Davidson, NZICA

Rewards and recognition

Telecom prides itself on offering competitive pay rates and rewarding individual and company performance.

We offer annual incentive schemes linked to the achievement of company, business unit and individual success measures. Annual remuneration reviews ensure we stay competitive in the wider market and that employees are rewarded for performing well.

We understand the importance of regular non-financial recognition and promote the use of our "Being Your Best" programme to reward individual achievement.

Phone and broadband concessions

The best way for you to understand the great services Telecom offers is for you to use them yourself. Permanent Telecom employees enjoy various concessions on their phone and broadband services:

  • Your home phone line
  • Unlimited national calling
  • A broadband plan at home
  • Your mobile phone and plan

You'll also get concessions on things like upgrading to a bigger broadband plan, calling family overseas and any add-on services you might use like Voicemail or Call Waiting. And you'll get discounts on Telecom products at our retail stores.
