Call Restriction
What is it?
With Call Restriction you can manage chargeable calls (calls made outside your calling area, 0900 services or mobile calls) made from your home phone.
How much does it cost?
- Call Restriction is $4.04 a month (including GST) or
- $2.55 a month (including GST) if you have an if you have an Anytime, a Total Home package or Homeline home phone plan and all your direct dial calling with Telecom
How does it work?
- Chargeable calls cannot be made from your phone when Call Restriction is activated
- To make a chargeable call, simply turn Call Restriction off by dialing 1881 and entering a four digit PIN number
- Turn Call Restriction on again when you've finished
Call Restriction requires a touchtone phone and is available in most areas.

Things you should know
- You need to have a Telecom account to buy Call Restriction online
- Telecom requires 30 days notice of cancellation of this Smartphone service. This means the usual charges will continue to apply for 30 days after the date you cancel your service, even if it is disconnected within that period
- Please note that in some cases this service may not be available or is limited due to network constraints and incompatibility with other products and services
- You need to have a Telecom account to order Call Restriction online. Join online and order Call Restriction as part of your new connection
- If you have a Total Home package and you activate Call Restriction, you will not be able to make national calls. Because of this your unlimited national calling with Total Home and nominated landline number with Total Home Lite will be blocked by call restriction.
