Call Minder
What is it?
- Gives your callers the option of leaving a message without having to buy a conventional answer phone
- You can listen to your messages at any time from almost any touch-tone phone in New Zealand
- You can share your mailbox with up to four other phone numbers (landline or mobile) and pick up all your messages with one call as all messages, regardless of which number your caller dialed, will be in the same mailbox
How much does it cost?
- Call Minder is $8.85 a month (excluding GST)
- Calls from your work phone to check your messages are free
- Call charges may apply for calls from your mobile, a payphone, from overseas or from any other phone which is not your Telecom work phone
- If you have set up Call Forward, all mobile and national calls forwarded from Call Minder will be charged to your Telecom business account. Calls forwarded to a Telecom mobile phone will be charged at standard fixed to mobile rates. Calls transferred to another landline will be charged at standard national calling rates
- If you have set up Message Alerts each Message Alert costs 5 cents (including GST) per alert, or $2.95 (including GST) per month for an unlimited number of Message Alerts to a Telecom mobile
- Notification to a pager is 20 cents (including GST) per call
How does it work?
- You record your mailbox name and your own personalised greeting
- You set up a personal PIN so your mailbox is secure and confidential - we recommend you use a PIN
- Then, if you're away or on the phone or Internet, Call Minder will answer your calls and take messages for you
- Or if you set up Call Forward on Call Minder, callers can press 0 to forward their call to a pre-programmed number of your choice

Other services that complement Call Minder
- Telecom Message Alerts help you keep track of your phone messages when you're out and about. A text message is sent to your text capable Telecom mobile as soon as anyone leaves a message in your Call Minder mailbox
- Call Waiting notifies you of an incoming call. You can either answer the call or let Call Minder take a message for you
Things you should know
- Telecom requires 30 days notice of cancellation of this Smartphone service. This means the usual charges will continue to apply for 30 days after the date you cancel your service, even if it is disconnected within that period
- Please note that in some cases this service may not be available or is limited due to network constraints and incompatibility with other products and services
- Call Minder is not available in all areas. To find out if it is available in your area, call 126
