If you want to control your costs and manage who in your business can make chargeable calls, Call Restriction is the answer. What's more you can turn it on and off whenever you like.

How Call Restriction works

Chargeable calls, such as toll calls cannot be made from your phone when Call Restriction is activated.

With Call Restriction you nominate a secure PIN number. To make a chargeable call, you simply turn Call Restriction off by entering a four-digit code and your secure PIN number. Turn Call Restriction on again when you've finished.

Call Restriction is available in most areas. All you need is a touchtone phone.

$3.51 a month (excluding GST).

Things you should know

Call Restriction requires a touchtone phone and is available in most areas. Call Restriction only prevents outbound calls. It does not stop incoming transfer charge or collect calls.

You will still be able to make calls to 111, Telecom service numbers such as 126, 0800 numbers and Calling Card numbers.

Subject to any applicable minimum terms, Telecom requires 30 days notice of cancellation of this Smartphone service. This means the usual charges will continue to apply for 30 days after the date you cancel your service, even if it is disconnected within that period. (There will be some exceptions). For some existing customers, as separately advised, this requirement applies from 1 January 2004. Where you have agreed to take this Smartphone service for a minimum period, charges for this service will continue to apply until the end of that period.

You need to have a Telecom account to buy Call Restriction online. Join online here, and order Call Restriction as part of your new connection.
