FaxAbility
What is it?
Having a phone and a fax machine on the same line is easy to manage when you have FaxAbility. A different ringing tone lets you know it's a fax and not a phone call, so you don't interrupt transmission by answering a fax call.
How much does it cost?
- FaxAbility is $3.95 a month (including GST) or
- $2.50 a month (including GST) if you have an Anytime, a Total Home package or Homeline home phone plan and all your direct dial calling with Telecom
- $3.51 a month (excluding GST) for a business line
How does it work?
- We provide you with a separate number for your fax machine. Your fax machine recognises the ring and accepts the fax message
- FaxAbility requires a compatible fax machine
Things you should know
- FaxAbility is not available in all areas
- The usual local, national and international charges apply for all outgoing calls
- You cannot make a phone call and send a fax at the same time
- Telecom requires 30 days notice of cancellation of this Smartphone service. This means the usual charges will continue to apply for 30 days after the date you cancel your service, even if it is disconnected within that period
- Please note that in some cases this service may not be available or is limited due to network constraints and incompatibility with other products and services
- You need to have a Telecom account to order FaxAbility. Join online and order FaxAbility as part of your new connection
