Never miss a fax
FaxAdvantage helps you ensure that you never miss a fax even if your fax
machine is busy, out of paper or out of action. Make it easy for your customers - their faxes always get through, first time, every time.
How does it work?
- If a fax can't get through to your machine, it automatically diverts to the Telecom Message Exchange - it's delivered to you when your machine is free
- If the Message Exchange can't forward the fax after a certain amount of time (that you define), you'll receive a text alert to let you know. If the fax is urgent, you can dial in and retrieve it manually
- Additional security with a confidential PIN to access messages
- No expensive equipment is required
- Extra savings - one-minute minimum charge is reduced to 30 seconds, after which charging is calculated by the second

- High volume faxes? Dedicate one fax machine with FaxAdvantage to receive faxes and use another machine just for sending faxes

Things you should know
You must have a dedicated Business Line just for faxes.
Telecom requires 30 days notice of cancellation of FaxAdvantage. This means the usual charges will continue to apply for 30 days after the date you cancel your service, even if it is disconnected within that period (there will be some exceptions). For some existing customers, as separately advised, this requirement applies from 1 January 2004. Where you have agreed to take this Smartphone service for a minimum period, charges for this service will continue to apply until the end of that period.
