Free delivery and returns policy
This policy applies to mobile device purchases made from Telecom online or through a Telecom Call Centre.
When you purchase your new or upgraded Telecom mobile online or from a Telecom Call Centre, enjoy the convenience of paying for your new mobile on your next Telecom bill or by credit card and free delivery (anywhere in New Zealand) to your door.
You can expect delivery of your new mobile within 3-5 business days from date of purchase subject to stock availability.
Your purchase agreement becomes effective at the end of your call or online purchase journey. Further to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act or other New Zealand legislation, if you change your mind regarding this purchase you may cancel this agreement within 7 days of delivery by calling Telecom on *123 to arrange the return of your mobile device and/or SIM.
To be eligible to return the mobile device, the original security seal or shrink wrap must still be intact, so please check the packaging to ensure you have the correct device and colour before opening as if the seal is broken we will not be able to accept the device back.
If any usage is made from the SIM, an early termination fee or repayment of mobile phone subsidy may be applied to cancel this agreement. Our terms and conditions will be delivered with your new device and/or SIM.
Whilst you cannot open the box you have the option of visiting one of our stores during this period where you can view the device more closely.
What to do
Keep the packing slip as you must return this with the mobile as proof of purchase for warranty purposes.
Call us on *123 to cancel your agreement within 7 days of the date on the packing skip and then we can arrange for a courier bag to be sent to collect the mobile. Refer to the letter you received with your new mobile.
This policy does not apply to mobile devices purchased in store. Please contact the store where you purchased your device directly.
