My Favourites for your mobile

To be eligible to receive this service you must be a Telecom mobile customer (excludes Skinny) on one of the following plans:

  1. This service allows you to nominate up to a maximum of three numbers per mobile account at any one time ("Nominated Number(s)"). For Monthly Account customers each Nominated Number will incur a monthly subscription charge of $6 charged to your Telecom mobile account and payable by you. For Prepaid customers calls will be charged up to $6 per month on a pay-as-you-call basis for each Nominated Number
  2. You can nominate up to a maximum of three Telecom mobile or Telecom landline numbers. Excludes calling cards, Call Diversion, Customer Link, Tandem calling, 059, 0900 calls and other premium numbers. Excludes international roaming calls, and normal call charges will apply when roaming overseas
  3. This offer applies to one-way direct dial voice calls from your Telecom mobile to the Nominated Number(s). The monthly subscription charge excludes return calling from the Nominated Number(s)
  4. Text messaging, picture/photo messaging, video messaging, video calling and MMS are also excluded
  5. This offer entitles you to make many calls, anytime of the day, during your billing cycle, whichever is applicable, to your Nominated Number(s) for the fixed monthly subscription charge
  6. Fair Use Policy applies. The Fair Use Policy is referenced against average customer profiles and estimated customer use of this service. If your use materially exceeds estimated use patterns over any month, then your use will be deemed excessive and/or unreasonable. If you breach this policy Telecom may ask you to moderate your usage. If you fail to do so, Telecom reserves the right, without further notice, to remove the service from your account
  7. You are able to 'self-provision' the purchase or cancellation of the service via Online or TXT
  8. You are able to contact 123 or our Retail stores for assisted purchase, changes to your service, enquiries or cancellation of the service
  9. If you're a Monthly Account customer the service is based on your monthly billing cycle and will be charged to your Telecom mobile account from the date of activation, monthly in advance. If you're a Prepaid customer you will be charged for the service on a pay-as-you-call basis. The service may not be cancelled and no changes may be made within the first 30 days
  10. Provisioning may take up to 5 days and you will be notified via text when the service is added, changed or cancelled
  11. Calls to the Nominated Number will not use minutes included in your Monthly Account plans
  12. If you cease to be a Telecom mobile customer, switch to an ineligible mobile or deactivate or suspend your account, we will cancel the service
  13. The monthly subscription charge for the offer is in addition to all other offers, access or minimum usage charges for your Monthly Account. For example, the $6 is NOT an inclusive product of the Flexi plan construct
  14. If the owner of the number you nominated changes that number, this service will remain on your mobile until Telecom NZ is advised otherwise by you
  15. Telecom standard mobile connection terms and conditions apply
  16. My Favourites is not compatible with a permanent Toll bar (both customer requested and credit bars). Customers can have Call Restriction and the service, however, they will need to turn off Call Restriction to make a call to the Nominated Number

My Favourites for your home phone

To be eligible to receive this service you must be a Telecom home access and calling customer on one of the following plans:

  • Homeline
  • Anytime
  • Total Home Starter
  • Total Home Lite (however, included Total Home Lite My Favourites number counts as 1 of your possible 3 nominated numbers.  This means you can select up to 2 additional My Favourites numbers)
  • Total Home (Mobile numbers only as national landline calling is included in your package)
    Total Home Broadband
  • Total Home Mobile  
  • Customers on some older plans that are no longer in our current plan line up may also purchase this product
  1. This service allows you to nominate up to a maximum of three numbers per Telecom home land line at any one time, each being a My Favourites.   
  2. For each My Favourites you will incur a monthly charge of $6 charged to your Telecom account and payable by you.
  3. You can nominate up to a maximum of three Telecom mobile or national landline numbers. You can only nominate a number once. My Favourites includes direct dial calls on and excludes calling cards, Call Diversion, Customer Link, Tandem calling, 059, 0900 calls and other premium numbers and roaming calls.
  4. If your My Favourites Nominated Number is a mobile number that is roaming at the time of a call normal roaming charges will apply to that My Favourites number, for example the My Favourites number will pay to receive the call from your land line.  
  5. This service applies to one-way direct dial voice calls from your Telecom land line to the My Favourites. The monthly charge excludes return calling from the My Favourites number.
  6. This service entitles you to make many calls, anytime of the day, during your billing cycle, whichever is applicable, to your My Favourites for the fixed monthly charge.  Calls are capped at 2 hours.  After a call duration of 2 hours normal call charges will apply and no further discounts will be applied to the ‘overage’ portion of the call.  Normal call charges mean the standard per minute calling rates as determined by your access plan or bundle. 
  7. Fair Use Policy applies. The Fair Use Policy refers to the maximum amount of calls made in one month and  referenced against average customer profiles and estimated customer use of this service. If your use materially exceeds estimated use patterns over any month, then your use will be deemed excessive and/or unreasonable. If you breach this policy Telecom may ask you to moderate your usage. If you fail to do so, Telecom reserves the right, without further notice, to remove the service from your account.
  8. You are able to purchase, change or cancel the service by contacting us.or using the on line self service tools.  If you move your home line calling to another service provider you will need to contact us to remove the service from your Telecom account.   
  9. You are able to contact 123 or our Retail stores for assisted purchase, changes to your service, enquiries or cancellation of the service.
  10. The service is based on your monthly billing cycle and will be charged to your Telecom account from the date of activation, monthly in advance.
  11. The service may not be cancelled and no changes may be made within the first 30 days.
  12. You may make changes to the number(s) you have nominated free of charge. More than once per month is deemed excessive and we may ask you to restrict this activity. If you fail to do so, Telecom reserves the right, without further notice, to remove the service from your account.
  13. Provisioning may take up to 48 hours and you will be notified via text or email when the service is added, changed or cancelled.  However, provisioning may take longer particularly if your order is received outside normal business hours or on a public holiday.  
  14. If you cease to be a Telecom calling customer, switch to an ineligible plan or product or deactivate or suspend your account, you will no longer be eligible for this service.
  15. The monthly charge for the service is in addition to all other offers, access or minimum usage charges for your monthly account.
  16. If the owner of a nominated My Favourites number changes that number, this service will remain on your mobile until Telecom NZ is advised otherwise by you.
  17. Telecom standard Residential Terms and Conditions apply.
  18. The services is not compatible with a permanent Toll bar (both customer requested and credit bars). Customers can have Call Restriction and the service, however, they will need to turn off Call Restriction to make a call to the Nominated Number.  This services is not compatible with Total Home, Talk It Up Down Under, Talk It Up New Zealand, Talk It Up Overseas and Budgetlink.  This service is not compatible with mobile numbers already nominated as part of the Freedom service.
