To connect to Telecom Broadband, you plug your broadband modem into your phone line and then connect your computer to the modem.

Connection only
FREE
We connect your broadband service at our exchange. No technician is required to visit your house. A 12 month term with $199 early termination fee applies. If you prefer a no term contract the connection fee is $99.

A technician visits your house to install extra telephone wiring. You'll need this option if you have a monitored alarm, have five or more appliances connected to your phone line, or want your modem more than 10 metres from the wall socket.

Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 or higher operating system.
An ethernet port is required if the computer is not wireless capable.
Apple® Devices
Mac OS 9.x or higher operating system.
An ethernet port is required if the computer is not wireless capable.

Android 1.6 or higher operating system.

Recommended
Desktop or laptop computers should have 256MB of RAM (memory) or higher for optimal broadband experience.
Any computer or device (such as a mobile phone or tablet) you want to connect to the wireless network must be wireless enabled.
Note 802.11n enables faster data transfer than 802.11g.
What else you should know...
The $99 broadband connection charge is additional, but if you sign up for a 12 month term (with a $199 early termination fee) then you won't need to pay it.
You may also need additional broadband filters for each appliance you have connected to a phone jack in your house, such as phones, faxes or Sky boxes. You can order these at step 2 of your Broadband order for $9.95 each.
Your computer, mobile phone, tablet or other device must have wireless network hardware to use the wireless features of the modem.
If you already have a compatible modem you can still order Broadband online, just select "I have my own modem" when you order.
Some physical and environmental factors around your home, such as concrete or brick walls, may affect your wireless network performance.
The total number of wireless enabled devices you have connected affects the wireless network performance.
