Usage Alerts

It's easy to sign up or change your usage alerts.

Mobile Broadband usage alerts are a free service for Telecom customers on a Pay Monthly Mobile Broadband plan.

Customised usage alerts aren't currently available for Prepaid customers, but you can check your Prepaid usage online.

How usage alerts work

Once you reach a certain amount of usage during a month, we’ll let you know so you avoid any unexpected surprises.

When you subscribe to receive usage alerts, you can nominate up to four email addresses and four Telecom mobile phone numbers to receive them. And each email address or phone number can receive up to three alerts.

For example, you can receive usage alerts once you reach 80%, 100% and 120% of your monthly data allowance.

You can choose any usage threshold between 20% and 200% of your monthly data allowance, and any MB threshold for Flexi or Casual plans.

How do I set up Usage Alerts?

If you're on a Pay Monthly Mobile Broadband plan you can set up Usage Alerts online.

What else you should know...

Usage alerts can only be sent to mobile numbers on the Telecom Mobile network and they will only be sent out after you have finished the session during which you reached your nominated limit.

Occasionally there could be a delay of 4 hours between the time you finish using mobile broadband and the time the alert is sent to you.

If you no longer want to receive Mobile Broadband Usage Alerts you can unsubscribe.
