XT Mobile comes with SIM technology

Your SIM card stores your mobile number and your account information, as well as all your contacts. You can even switch your SIM between different XT mobile phones. Pop it in – and you’re good to go.

What types of SIM Cards are there?

Telecom now has two types of SIM Cards available:  

• Telecom SIM Card 
  You’ll need a Telecom SIM Card for any XT Mobile or mobile broadband device that you buy from Telecom.
• Telecom MicroSIM card
  A Telecom MicroSIM Card is required for some devices such as the iPad™ and iPhone4®.

How much does a SIM cost?

If you’re on a Pay monthly plan, there’s no need to buy a SIM. You’ll get one when you sign up in-store, upgrade your mobile or purchase a new mobile online.

Right now if you have a phone that is compatible with Telecom's XT network and sign up for one of our 12 or 24 month Postpaid plans, we'll give you a Free SIM and an account credit of up to $800.

If you’re a new Prepaid customer your SIM costs just $29.95. It comes with $10 credit already loaded, and you get another $10 top up if you register your Prepaid number online.

What else you should know...

You can keep your SIM secure with a 4-digit PIN number, so your contact and account info’s safe. And because hey, we’re all human, if you do forget your PIN, you can use your personal unblocking code (PUK code). Find it at Your Telecom or check your SIM card packaging.

You can store up to 500 different contacts on your SIM, but other things like your photos or music are stored on your phone's memory – so you won’t be able to switch them quite as easily.

You can’t put a new Telecom SIM into a mobile phone that’s on the CDMA network.
