Boosts
If you find a Postpaid monthly plan you like but you want a bit more, just grab a Boost.
Text and Data Boosts work by exchanging the TXTs or data included in your monthly plan for the greater amount that comes with a Boost.
For example, if you have a plan with 300 TXTs and you grabbed the $10 Text Boost, you'd get a total of 2500 TXTs each month. If you use up the TXTs or data included in your Boosts then you'll just pay normal additional usage rates - see the 'Details' links above. Note - Data Boosts cannot be added to a Smartphone or BlackBerry Smartphone plan.
Different costs will apply if you use TXTs or data when you're outside New Zealand.
$10 Text Boost
Boost your monthly TXTs to a total of 2500 national person-to-person TXTs for just $10 per month with a $10 Text Boost. You can add this Boost to your new XT plan at our Buy Boosts & Extras page. Note - the $10 Text Boost is not available for Smartphone or BlackBerry Smartphone plans over $140.
$10 Data Boost
Boost your monthly data to a total of 250MB for just $10 per month with our $10 Data Boost. You can add this Boost to your new XT plan at our Buy Boosts & Extras page. Note - Data Boosts cannot be added to a Smartphone or BlackBerry Smartphone plan.
Additional Data and Calling options
750MB, 2GB and 4GB Mobile Broadband data plans
You can increase your monthly data even further by using a Mobile Broadband plan to boost the data in your new XT plan - we have 750MB, 2GB and 4GB plans to choose from. You can Buy Boosts & Extras online to add any of these to your new XT plan.
Blackberry 100MB, 400MB and 1GB Data Extras
If you're a BlackBerry fan you'll know they're a bit special and, since all BlackBerry devices need data, we've got special BlackBerry-only data Extras. These data options give you access to the BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES) and are therefore for BlackBerry customers who use a corporate server (e.g. Exchange). Our BlackBerry data Extras are only available on our new Talk & Text Off Peak and Talk & Text Anytime plans and take your monthly data to 100MB for $30.61, 400MB for $35.72 or 1GB for $71.51. If you're a non-Corporate BlackBerry customer you'll want a plan that gives you access to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) – we have BlackBerry Smartphone plans for you.
My Favourites
If you have a favourite person that you call often on their Telecom mobile or landline, you can make them a My Favourite and then call them as often as you like (within fair usage) for just $6 per month per number (up to 3). You can Buy Boosts & Extras online.

International calling from your Mobile
The cost of an international call from an XT mobile will depend on your mobile plan and where you're calling to. If you're on a $80 or higher Talk & Text or Smartphone plan then, if you are calling from within New Zealand, it will cost you 51c per minute to call Australia, the UK, USA, Canada or Ireland and on all other plans this will cost you 91c per minute. For all plans, the rest of the World costs $1.43 per minute.

What else you should know...
When we talk about per minute calling rates and the 'included minutes' in our Postpaid monthly plans, these don't apply to video calling, directory assistance, operator-assisted, 0900 and other types of chargeable calls like these.
If you decide to join us with a Postpaid monthly plan for a fixed term and then find you need to break the term, then there will be some early disconnection charges or repayment of the mobile subsidy if you chose to receive one.
Our included TXTs and Boosts are for national person-to-person TXTs and don't include international TXTs or TXTs sent while roaming.
Our included data and Boosts are for data used in New Zealand and don't include data used while you're outside New Zealand. To get the price of data for your international destinations, use our Global Roaming Quick Check tool.
Photo messages cost 20c per message to any Telecom or XT Network mobile, and 50c to any other network mobile, in New Zealand.
Accessing your voicemail is 20c per call.
