The minutes and texts in your Extras and Value Packs are for national person-to-person use and don't include special chargeable numbers, or use while overseas.
The data in your Extras is for use in New Zealand. Visit www.telecomroaming.co.nz to learn more about using Prepaid data while overseas.
Direct-dial any land line or mobile in Australia, United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Ireland and pay 91c per minute.
Direct-dial any land line or mobile in the rest of the world for $1.43 per minute.
Your Extra or Value Pack will automatically renew providing you have sufficient credit on your phone on your renewal date. For example, if you subscribe to the Text 150 Extra, $6 will be deducted from your prepaid balance up front, each month. Don't worry - we'll send you a text message a few days before to remind you.
However, if you don't have enough credit on your phone at your renewal date, your Extra or Value Pack will be placed on hold for 5 days. The cost of calling, texts and data will revert to casual rates once your subscription is on hold. If you top up before the 5 days is up, the Extra or Value Pack will renew automatically and you will receive a confirmation text. The renewal date will stay as it was.
If you don't top up within the 5 days the Extra or Value Pack will be cancelled and we'll send you a text message to let you know. You will need to subscribe again at telecom.co.nz/ytmobile or 'Your Telecom' to take up another Extra or Value Pack.
We hope you’ll be happy with using Telecom Prepaid. When you Top up your phone, your credit is valid for 12 months from when you buy it. If you don’t add any credit within 12 months, your prepaid account will become inactive, and any unused credit will expire. It’s easy to avoid this – simply Top up at least once every 12 months to keep your Prepaid account and the phone number you have.
The plan you're on determines the standard rates that you pay for the various services available on your mobile. Smart Prepaid is our default Prepaid plan for new prepaid customers and offers the rates mentioned above.
If you're currently on our Pay as you go plan you pay 69c per minute for calls to any network and 20c per text. If you're on an older Prepaid plan then different rates apply, and you may want to change plans.
You can change your plan yourself by calling *333 from your mobile and following the prompts or by using our online form. Or you can call *123 from your mobile to talk to us or come chat to us in store.
Photo messages cost 20c per message to any Telecom or Smartphone Network mobile, and 50c to any other mobile, in New Zealand.
