XT text and photo messaging help you keep in touch with all your friends in New Zealand and around the world.

On all Telecom XT mobile phones you can:

  • Send and receive texts to all other mobile phones in NZ
  • Send and receive texts to over 190 overseas destinations 
  • Send and receive photo and video messages
  • Send and receive long texts (over 160 chars)

How do I send or receive a message?

All phones are a little different, so select your mobile from the list of mobile phone user guides and we'll show you how.

If your mobile’s new, we suggest you send a photo message to a friend first. That way, you’ll get a lot more out of it.

You only pay for the texts you send

It's FREE to receive text or photo messages on your XT mobile in New Zealand.  The only time you pay is when you send:

Send a text message to anyone in New Zealand $0.20 per text
If you're Prepaid, and text an international number $0.30 per text
Send a photo message to a Telecom mobile or any email address $0.20 per message
Send a photo message to another mobile network $0.50 per message
Send a video message to any mobile or email address $1.00 per message

Text Boosts and Extras

Prepaid

Bit of a text message addict? You can save heaps if you add Text Extras to your prepaid mobile. Add bundles of 150 to what you get or, for a limited time, supersize with our 2500 texts per month offer to anyone on any mobile network in New Zealand.

Postpaid

You can also get more out of your Postpaid plan by grabbing a Text Boost or Extra. You can select either a $10 Text Boost with 2500 texts or you can pick up a Text Extra with a bundle of 150 or 2500 texts.

Keep a copy in your Online Photo Gallery

Never worry about losing a photo or video message again. Every time you send or receive a XT photo or video message, a copy gets uploaded to your Online Gallery for you to store and/or edit later.
