Prepaid is a great low cost way to get started with Mobile Broadband.

With Telecom Mobile Broadband you get FREE 24/7 helpdesk support and a usage meter - so you'll always know how much data you've used.

How do I get Mobile Broadband?

Buy it online, give us a call, or visit a Telecom store to get an XT Mobile Broadband Device and SIM.

The price of Prepaid Mobile Broadband is...

Prepaid Mobile Broadband is available on a casual rate but we recommend you sign up for one of our pricing options so you can keep better control of costs. You can purchase a Prepaid Mobile Broadband data subscription online.

Prepaid Pricing Option Price Additional data
Mobile Broadband 500MB $25 (one month expiry) After the included 500MB, you'll revert to the casual data rate.
Mobile Broadband 2GB $50 (one month expiry) After the included 2GB, you'll revert to the casual data rate.
Casual rate $1 a day for up to 10MB, on the days you use it. $1 for each additional MB, on the days you use over 10MB.

All prices include GST.

Prepaid Mobile Broadband is now sold on a subscription basis where you pay for it upfront in full on the date of purchase, and on every renewal date, so you need to have enough credit on your account to cover the renewal charge. The subscriptions are valid for a full month from the time of purchase. For example; a plan purchased on the 5th of one month, expires on the 5th of the following month. Note any included data that you don't use will not be rolled over to the next month.

If you use more than the 500MB or 2GB of included data then you'll automatically revert to the casual data rate of $1 a day for your first 10MB, then $1 per MB thereafter on the days you use more than 10MB. Alternatively you could easily subscribe to another 500MB or 2GB option online, just look under Extras for the data plans.

You can log into the Prepaid usage meter to view your plan end and start dates and keep track of your usage and balances.

By the way, just so you know...

Topping up your Prepaid Mobile Broadband is easy, you can Top Up online using your credit card or choose one of many other top-up options. Remember you'll need a minimum prepaid credit balance available to start a data session and to have your plan renew each month.

We've recently made some changes to Prepaid Mobile Broadband...

In July 2011 we made some changes to our Prepaid Mobile Broadband plans, how they work, how you purchase them and how you're charged for them. We also have a new way you can manage your plan and things like topping up.

If you've never purchased a Prepaid Mobile Broadband plan before then you're probably unaffected by these changes, and all the info you need is above, but if you do have a one you may want to learn more here.
