Broadband plan settings
With many of our Home Packages, you can choose what happens if you exceed you monthly data allowance.
Additional data
If you want flexibility and fast internet access all month, then additional data allows you to pay for any data not covered by your monthly allowance.
If you do exceed your data allowance, you can keep using the internet at your usual broadband speed - you won't be slowed down. Any additional data you use will be billed to your Telecom account.
Reduced speed
If you want price certainty, this option means that your monthly broadband cost is fixed.
If you exceed your data allowance, you can keep using the internet at no extra cost but your speed will be significantly reduced (to a maximum of 64 kilobits per second).
How do I change my broadband plan settings?
- You can change your Telecom Broadband plan or settings online.
- Enter your phone and account number and choose the data amount you want.
- You will then be presented with options for reduced speed or additional data.
- Just select the option you want.
