What else you should know...

General

Our Home Connectivity Packages require you to have your broadband, landline and toll calling with Telecom.  

Broadband

Broadband is not available in all areas, factors such as distance from our equipment or the network's capacity, means we may be unable to deliver Telecom Broadband to a specific address.

If you go over your allocated broadband data allowance, extra broadband data is charged at $1.00 per GB on the 30GB and 50GB plans, or 50c per GB on our 150GB and 500GB plans. Or, if you prefer you can choose to limit your speed once you reach your monthly allowance and you’ll never pay any extra for data.

Home phone services

Talk It Up Neighbouring Area and Talk It Up NZ and Overseas are not available on our new packages.  

Talk It Up Downunder and Talk It Up Overseas are still available on a new Telecom Home Connectivity Package.

Any existing My Favourites, Freedom, Smartphone, or Talk It Up services (excluding Talk It Up Neighbouring Area and Talk It Up NZ and Overseas) you currently have on your phone line will be moved across automatically to your new package.

National and mobile calling

Home to national landline calling is charged at 24c a minute. Home to mobile calling is charged at 39c a minute.  

Plus talk for up to 2 hours a call and pay just $3 to any New Zealand landline, mobile or landline in Australia. Standard per minute rates apply after.

National calling applies to direct dial voice calls from your home line to landlines in New Zealand. Excludes calling cards 059, 0161, premium numbers (0900 and any international equivalent) and calls made via Home 0800 or International 0800.

Mobile calling applies to calls made to standard New Zealand mobiles. Does not include calls to overseas mobiles, or overseas visitors roaming in New Zealand.

Free modem and connection

If you choose to sign up with Telecom Broadband  on a 12 month contract, you will receive a free wireless modem and a free standard connection. If your service is disconnected prior the completion of that minimum contract period, you will be charged an early termination fee of $199.

If you sign up with Telecom Broadband on a ‘No term contract’, you will be charged the standard broadband connection fee of $99 and you will have to provide your own modem.

A broadband wiring charge of $199 may apply if, for example, you have an alarm or more than 5 phone jack-points in use.

A 30 day minimum payment applies to our Home Connectivity Packages and calling plans. If you change or remove your plan or package within 30 days you will still be charged for the full month.
