Talk It Up

There are now four great Telecom Talk It Up plans to get you talking. You can make calls lasting up to two hours each to a large number of destinations around the world - as well as New Zealand.

There's a one-off monthly cost for each Talk It Up plan, so you'll always know how much you'll be paying.

If you already have your direct dial calling with Telecom then all you have to do is add a Talk It Up plan to your existing Telecom Homeline or Anytime Access plan or your Total Home package.

How do you plan to Talk It Up?

Excluding usual monthly landline charges
*Total Home includes calling within New Zealand as part of the package.  It is not compatible with Talk It Up plans that have a New Zealand calling component.

Talk It Up Neighbouring Area

Call any landline, anytime in your selected neighbouring area from your home phone for one flat fee. Compatible with all Total Home packages except Total Home (which already includes neighbouring area calling).  Find out your neighbouring area.

Talk It Up Downunder

Call any landline, anytime in New Zealand and Australia and talk for up to 2 hours per call for one flat fee.

Talk it Up Overseas

Call any landline, anytime in the following countries and talk for up to 2 hours per call for one flat fee:
Australia, UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, China (excludes Macau), Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, France, Switzerland, Japan, Thailand, Italy and South Korea. Also includes USA and Canadian mobile calls.

Talk It Up New Zealand and Overseas

Call any landline, anytime in the following countries and talk for up to 2 hours per call for one flat fee:
New Zealand, Australia, UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, China (excludes Macau), Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, France, Switzerland, Japan, Thailand, Italy and South Korea. Also includes USA and Canadian mobile calls.

Reasonable Use Policy

Telecom considers the use of more than 6,000 minutes per Talk It Up plan to be excessive and inconsistent with normal residential usage patterns. Where you are in breach of this Reasonable Usage Policy, we may ask you to moderate your usage. If you then fail to do so, we reserve the right, without further notice to you, to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at the applicable calling rate of your plan and/or remove the service from your account.

What else you should know...

• The Talk It Up Neighbouring Area plan covers direct dial national voice calls from your residential phone. It doesn't include 059, Home 0800, Calling Card, payphone calls, calls to mobile phones, YABBA TM calls or operator assisted calls
• Direct dial national calls from your home phone are charged minute plus minute. A one minute minimum charge applies per call
• Talk it Up Neighbouring Area may not be cancelled and no changes may be made within the first 30 days/billing cycle
• Please note that in some cases this service may not be available or is limited due to network constraints and incompatibility with other products and services
• Talk It Up Neighbouring Area is only available to Telecom residential Homeline or Anytime customers who have all their direct dial calling with us
• Talk It Up New Zealand and Overseas, Talk It Up Overseas and Talk It Up Downunder are paid in addition to your Homeline, Anytime or Total Home monthly rental
• You must be a Telecom residential Homeline, Anytime or Total Home customer and have all of your direct dial calling with Telecom (including national, international and home-to-mobile calling)
• Applies to direct dial voice calls from your home phone
• Excludes Quick Call, calling cards, 059, 0161, premium numbers (0900 and any international equivalent), calls made via Home 0800 or International 0800 and calls to mobiles
• Calls can be made at any time but each call can not last longer that 2 hours. Normal calling charges will apply after 2 hours
• Talk It Up New Zealand and Overseas, Talk It Up Overseas and Talk It Up Downunder may not be cancelled or have any changes made within the first 30 days/billing cycle
• Talk It Up is for your household use only and is not to be resold to any other person
