With Call Restriction you can manage the calls outside your calling area, 0900 services or mobile calls that get made from your home phone.

How do I restrict my calls?

How does it work?

With Call Restriction you can manage chargeable calls (calls that are outside your calling area, 0900 services or mobile calls) made from your home phone.

When you have Call Restriction activated, no-one can make chargeable calls from your phone.

If you do want to make a chargeable call, you simply switch off Call Restriction by dialling 1881, entering a four digit PIN and making the call.

Then, to switch Call Restriction back on again, just dial 1880, followed by the same four digit PIN.

Call Restriction costs just $4.04 a month, or $2.55 if you are on a Telecom Home Phone Plan or Home Package, Homeline, Anytime or a Total Home Package.

What else you need to know …

  • Call Restriction requires a touchtone phone and is available in most areas.
  • Telecom requires 30 days’ notice of cancellation of this Smartphone service. This means the usual charges will continue to apply for 30 days after the date you cancel your service, even if it is disconnected within that period.
  • Please note that in some cases this service may not be available or is limited due to network constraints and incompatibility with other products and services.
  • If you have a Total Home package and you activate Call Restriction, you will not be able to make national calls. In other words, your unlimited national calling with Total Home and nominated landline number with Total Home Lite will be blocked by call restriction.
